Using StillsLab
StillsLab is a searchable library of frames pulled from films, series, music videos and commercials. Browsing and full-resolution downloads are free on any registered account; a few of the tools below are part of Pro, and each section says so.
Search & filters
Every frame is tagged with what is actually in it — colour palette, interior or exterior, time of day, lighting, shot size, composition, the people on screen. Stack those filters to narrow the whole library down to the handful of frames you are looking for, then save the result or open it in the lightbox.
Excluding a tag, combining tags with AND, and negative keywords are Pro. Compare plans.

Upload a reference — a photograph, a painting, a still from somewhere else — and get back the frames that look closest to it. Useful when you can picture the shot but have no words for it.
Free accounts get a set number of searches a day; Pro removes the limit. Compare plans.

A Lab is a board of frames. Build one per project, per look, per conversation. Labs can stay private, be shared with a link, or be published for other people to browse.

Add frames to the compare tray from the lightbox, then look at them together: a slider for two frames on top of each other, or a grid with the metadata lined up underneath.

Open any frame and download it at full resolution — up to 4K, with no daily limit, on any registered account. Downloads are deliberately not a paid feature. Press E in the lightbox to skip the menu entirely.

Missing a film? Put it on the requests board and vote on what other people asked for — that is open to every account. The Showcase is the other direction: frames people captured themselves, published under their name. Browsing it is free; submitting your own work is Pro.
